In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting HOPE Academy Royals soccer squad scored a good 9-1 triumph over the Carolina International Comets.

The Royals (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Lee Park Prep (Monroe, NC). The Knights come into the Metro Area Athletic battle with a 2-0 record.

The Comets (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Trojans come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record.
