In Friday's non-league battle, the host HOPE Academy Royals soccer squad scored a close 5-0 triumph over the Carolina International Comets.

The Royals (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Lee Park Prep (Monroe, NC). The Knights come into the Metro Area Athletic battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Lee Park Prep nudged NorthPoint Christian Academy (Waxhaw, NC), 7-0, in a league battle.
