In Monday's non-league test, the Southern Valley/Alma (Oxford, NE) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE), by a count of 15-0.

Next, the meet the Gothenburg Swedes (Gothenburg, NE) in a non-league test, on Friday, August 30. Southern Valley/Alma will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record.

The Longhorns (0-2) will now prepare for their test against Holyoke (Holyoke, CO). The Dragons go into the non-league test with a 0-4 record.
