The Warriors (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Hickory (Hickory, NC). The Red Tornadoes enter the Western Foothills 3A contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Hickory notched a victory over Crest (Shelby, NC), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Greyhounds battle the North Iredell Raiders (Olin, NC) in a Western Foothills 3A contest, on Wednesday, August 28. Statesville will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Raiders enter the contest with a 6-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Hickory (Hickory, NC).
