North Carolina High School Volleyball - Union Pines held off by West Johnston

In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host West Johnston Wildcats volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Union Pines Vikings.
The Wildcats (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Yellow Jackets enter the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Lee County was tipped by Triton (Erwin, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Vikings now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Johnston for a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. Union Pines will face a Trojans squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Harnett Central (Angier, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 4-0.
