With the win, West Columbus improves its record to 1-2 on the season. The Vikings host Lakewood (Roseboro, NC) to meet the Leopards in a non-league contest on Thursday, August 28. The Leopards enter the contest with a record of 0-0.

Next, the Spartans meet the Spring Creek Gators (Seven Springs, NC) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, August 27. Union will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Gators go into the battle with a 1-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to James Kenan (Warsaw, NC).
