With the triumph, Cook improves its record to 9-1 on the year. The Hornets host Wilcox County (Rochelle, GA) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league bout on Wednesday, August 27. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Wilcox County won 7-3 in their recent league bout against Treutlen (Soperton, GA)

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Tattnall County Warriors (Reidsville, GA) in a 2A Region 3 bout, on Thursday, August 28. Crisp County will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 0-5 record after their 5-2 league loss to Pierce County (Blackshear, GA).
