Georgia High School Softball - Newnan sneaks past McIntosh

August 26, 2025: Peachtree City, GA 30269

In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Newnan Cougars softball team scored a tight 7-6 win over the McIntosh Chiefs.

The Cougars (7-5) will now prepare for their game against Pike County (Zebulon, GA). The Pirates enter the non-league game with a 3-1 record. In their last game, Pike County edged Trinity Christian (Sharpsburg, GA), 9-1, in a non-league game.

The Chiefs now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ola for a non-league match on Wednesday, August 27. McIntosh will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 11-5 league win over Locust Grove (Locust Grove, GA). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-2.
