Georgia High School Softball - McIntosh bounces Newnan

September 23, 2025: Newnan, GA 30263

The McIntosh Chiefs softball team scored 15 runs and held the host Newnan Cougars to 11 in the Chiefs league win on Tuesday.

The Chiefs now possess a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lovejoy for a 5A Region 3 challenge on Thursday, September 25. McIntosh will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 19-6 league win over Morrow (Morrow, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-5.

The Cougars (10-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Northgate (Newnan, GA). The Vikings come into the 5A Region 3 battle with a 17-5 record. In their last battle, Northgate got by Banneker (College Park, GA), 17-0, in a league battle.
