Next, the Wildcats play the Starr's Mill Panthers (Fayetteville, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, August 27. Whitewater will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 8-2 league loss to Central (Carrollton, GA).

The Patriots (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Region 2 battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Mary Persons ran past Spalding (Griffin, GA), 13-2, in a league battle.
