Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Groves Rebels (Garden City, GA) and the host Johnson Atomsmashers (Savannah, GA), observed Groves's volleyball team top Johnson by a count of 2-0.
The Rebels (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA). The Yellow Jackets enter the 3A Area 3 contest with a 2-8 record. In their last battle, Southeast Bulloch dropped by Statesboro (Statesboro, GA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
The Atomsmashers now own a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Liberty County for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 28. Johnson will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Beach (Savannah, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 8-3.
