Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Groves Rebels (Garden City, GA) and the visiting Savannah Bluejackets (Savannah, GA), observed Groves's volleyball team top Savannah by a count of 2-0.

The Rebels (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Johnson (Savannah, GA). The Atomsmashers enter the 3A Area 3 contest with a 1-8 record.

The Bluejackets now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Savannah Country Day for a 1A Area 3 battle on Wednesday, August 27. Savannah will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 4-4.
