Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY) and the visiting South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY), observed Whitley County's volleyball team top South Laurel by a count of 3-0.

The Colonels (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY). The Rockets enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Rockcastle County was knocked off by Mercer County (Harrodsburg, KY), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Cardinals battle the Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 28. South Laurel will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Briar Jumpers go into the battle with a 5-0 record after their 3-0 league win over Casey County (Liberty, KY).
