North Carolina High School Volleyball - Wilkes Central over West Wilkes

The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) and the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), saw Wilkes Central's volleyball squad notch a victory over West Wilkes by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Wilkes Central improves its record to 3-2 on the season. The Eagles host Avery County (Newland, NC) to encounter the Vikings in a non-league battle on Wednesday, August 27. The Vikings go into the battle with a record of 3-1. Avery County won 3-1 in their recent non-league contest against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC)

Next, the Blackhawks meet the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A contest, on Thursday, August 28. West Wilkes will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Cardinals enter the contest with a 0-6 record after their 3-1 league loss to North Wilkes (Hays, NC).
