Georgia High School Softball - LaGrange edges Troup County

In Tuesday's league match, the host LaGrange Grangers softball team scored a tight 7-5 victory over the Troup County Tigers.

The Grangers (8-3) will now prepare for their match against Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA). The Knights go into the 3A Region 2 match with a 2-13 record. In their last match, Upson-Lee by Trinity Christian (Sharpsburg, GA), 19-2, in a league match.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Spalding Jaguars (Griffin, GA) in a 3A Region 2 match, on Thursday, August 29. Troup County will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Jaguars go into the match with a 10-4 record after their 5-3 non-league loss to Crawford County (Roberta, GA).
