Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the St. James Sharks (Murrells Inlet, SC) and the visiting Christian Academy Saints (Myrtle Beach, SC), observed St. James's volleyball team top Christian Academy by a count of 3-1.
The Sharks (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Waccamaw (Pawley's Island, SC). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Waccamaw notched a victory over South Florence (Florence, SC), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Saints meet the Socastee Braves (Myrtle Beach, SC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 5. Christian Academy will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Braves enter the contest with a 1-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Aynor (Aynor, SC).
