Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) and the host West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS), observed New Hope's volleyball team top West Point by a count of 3-0.

The Trojans (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS). The Warriors enter the Class 5A Region 1 contest with a 11-5 record. In their last contest, Pontotoc notched a victory over Corinth (Corinth, MS), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Green Wave battle the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) in a Class 5A Region 1 contest, on Thursday, August 29. West Point will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Commodores enter the contest with a 9-8 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Caledonia (Caledonia, MS).
