In Monday's league battle, the host Billingsley Bears volleyball team scored a decisive 25-9 triumph over the Maplesville Red Devils.
The Bears (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Verbena (Verbena, AL). The Red Devils come into the 1A Area 7 battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Verbena lost by Central of Coosa County (Rockford, AL), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Red Devils clash with the Keith Bears (Orrville, AL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, August 29. Maplesville will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Bears come into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Johnson (Thomaston, AL).
