North Carolina High School Volleyball - Cherokee over Hiwassee Dam

The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) and the host Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC), saw Cherokee's volleyball squad beat Hiwassee Dam by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Cherokee upgrades its record to 4-2 on the year. The Braves travel to Andrews (Andrews, NC) to play the Wildcats in a Big Smoky Mountain 1A bout on Tuesday, August 29. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Andrews won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Nantahala (Topton, NC)

The Eagles now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Highlands for a Little Smoky Mountain 1A bout on Tuesday, August 29. Hiwassee Dam will play a Highlanders squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Hayesville (Hayesville, NC). The Highlanders record now stands at 1-5.
