In Thursday's league outing, the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA) softball team routed the visiting Dublin Fighting Irish (Dublin, GA), by a margin of 8-0.

The Gryphons now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southwest for a 1A D-I Region 2 outing on Tuesday, September 2. Academy for Classical Education will encounter a Patriots team coming off a 20-0 league loss to East Laurens (East Dublin, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 1-6.

The Fighting Irish (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Bleckley County (Cochran, GA). The Royals go into the 1A D-I Region 2 test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, Bleckley County prevailed over Northeast (Macon, GA), 15-0, in a league test.
