The Crete Cardinals the host Seward Bluejays softball squad by a count of 6-4 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals meet the Fairbury Jeffs (Fairbury, NE) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 2. Crete will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Jeffs come into the battle with a 3-6 record after their 13-6 non-league win over Ord (Ord, NE).
