The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Dodge County Indians (Eastman, GA) and the visiting Washington County Golden Hawks (Sandersville, GA), saw Dodge County's softball squad beat Washington County by a score of 12-4.

With the triumph, Dodge County improves its record to 2-6 on the year. The Indians travel to Jefferson County (Louisville, GA) to clash with the Warriors in a 1A D-I Region 2 bout on Tuesday, September 2. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Jefferson County lost 5-4 in their recent league bout against Central (Macon, GA)

In their next game, the Golden Hawks face the East Laurens Falcons (East Dublin, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 2 contest, on Tuesday, September 2. Washington County will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Falcons enter the contest with a 6-2 record after their 20-0 league win over Southwest (Macon, GA).
