The Simpson Academy Cougars the visiting Jackson Prep Patriots softball squad by a count of 8-6 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Coming up next, the Cougars confront the Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots (Madison, MS) in a battle, on Tuesday, September 2. Simpson Academy will attempt to better on its 18-3 season record. The Patriots come into the battle with a 1-1 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Oak Hill Academy (West Point, MS).
With the loss, Jackson Prep moves to 0-2 on the year.
