The Hickory Red Tornadoes volleyball squad scored 3 points and limited the host West Iredell Warriors to 0 in the Red Tornadoes league victory on Thursday.

Next up, the Red Tornadoes confront the East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) in a Western Foothills 4A/5A outing, on Tuesday, September 2. Hickory will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record. The Mustangs come into the outing with a 3-5 record after their 3-2 league loss to Foard (Newton, NC).

With the loss, West Iredell drops to 1-5 on the campaign. The Warriors host Newton-Conover (Newton, NC) to confront the Red Devils in a Western Foothills 4A/5A match on Tuesday, September 2. The Red Devils enter the match with a record of 1-6. Newton-Conover won 3-1 in their recent league match against Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC)
