In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host New Covenant Gryphons volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors.

The Gryphons (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Kenston Forest (Blackstone, VA). The Kavaliers come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Kenston Forest was edged by Nottoway (Nottoway, VA), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Conquerors encounter the Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs (Danville, VA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 31. Southwest Virginia Academy will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a 1-3 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Roanoke Valley Christian (Roanoke, VA).
