The Goldbugs (8-5) will now prepare for their bout against Hennessey (Hennessey, OK). The Eagles go into the 2A bout with a 5-8 record. In their last bout, Hennessey knocked off Covington-Douglas (Covington, OK), 5-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Maroons clash with the Tonkawa Buccaneers (Tonkawa, OK) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, August 29. Blackwell will attempt to advance on its 9-11 season record. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 11-4 non-league win over Morrison (Morrison, OK).
