The St. John's Mavericks (Houston, TX) volleyball knocked off the visiting Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX), 2-0 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Mavericks now possess a 15-8 record. They play next when they travel to Friendswood for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 30. St. John's will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Hebron (Carrollton, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 18-4.
With the loss, Lake Creek drops to 11-14 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Eagle Mountain (Fort Worth, TX) to battle the Knights in a non-league match on Saturday, August 30. The Knights enter the match with a record of 14-9. Eagle Mountain lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Austin (Austin, TX)
