With the win, Lakewood upgrades its record to 1-5 on the year. The Leopards host Pender (Burgaw, NC) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 1. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 0-7. Pender lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC)

The Vikings now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Union for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 6. West Columbus will play a Spartans squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over James Kenan (Warsaw, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 4-2.
