Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Martinsville Artesians (Martinsville, IN) and the visiting Mooresville Pioneers (Mooresville, IN), observed Martinsville's volleyball team top Mooresville by a count of 2-0.

The Artesians (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Greenwood (Greenwood, IN). The Woodmen enter the Mid-State battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Greenwood dropped by Indian Creek (Trafalgar, IN), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

The Pioneers now own a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Plainfield for a Mid-State battle on Tuesday, September 2. Mooresville will encounter a Quakers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Center Grove (Greenwood, IN). The Quakers record now stands at 8-2.
