The Mitchell Kernels topped the host Sturgis Brown Scoopers volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Saturday's league game.

Next up, the Kernels play the Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, August 30. Mitchell will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the outing with a 2-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Wolsey-Wessington (Wolsey, SD).

With the loss, Sturgis Brown drops to 1-5 on the campaign. The Scoopers host St. Thomas More (Rapid City, SD) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 2. The Cavaliers come into the outing with a record of 2-0. St. Thomas More won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Hot Springs (Hot Springs, SD)
