The Crisp County Cougars routed the visiting Monroe Golden Tornadoes softball squad by a final score of 16-1 in Thursday's league battle.
The Cougars (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against Monroe (Albany, GA). The Golden Tornadoes go into the 3A Region 1 battle with a 0-9 record. In their last battle, Monroe was routed by Crisp County (Cordele, GA), 15-0, in a league battle.
The Golden Tornadoes now possess a 0-11 record. They play next when they travel to Crisp County for a 3A Region 1 battle on Thursday, August 31. Monroe will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Monroe (Albany, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-4.
