Nebraska High School Softball - Pierce gets by O'Neill

Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Pierce Bluejays (Pierce, NE) and the visiting O'Neill Eagles (O'Neill, NE), observed Pierce's softball team edge O'Neill by a score of 8-7.

Coming up next, the Bluejays encounter the Polk County Slammers (Stromsburg, NE) in a non-league test, on Saturday, September 2. Pierce will attempt to improve on its 7-4 season record. The Slammers come into the test with a 4-6 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to St. Paul (St. Paul, NE).

The Eagles (0-7) will now prepare for their test against Boone Central/Newman Grove (Albion, NE). The Cardinals come into the non-league test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Boone Central/Newman Grove edged Pierce (Pierce, NE), 16-7, in a non-league test.
