The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Daviess County Panthers (Owensboro, KY) and the visiting Grayson County Cougars (Leitchfield, KY), saw Daviess County's volleyball squad nip Grayson County by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Daviess County upgrades its record to 4-7 on the year. The Panthers host Breckinridge County (Harned, KY) to play the Fighting Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 7. The Fighting Tigers go into the bout with a record of 4-7.

The Cougars now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Butler County for a District 12 bout on Tuesday, September 5.
