The Long Rebels volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host New Brockton Gamecocks to 0 in the Rebels non-league victory on Thursday.
The Rebels now have a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pike Liberal Arts for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 5. Long will meet a Patriots team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Brantley (Brantley, AL). The Patriots record now stands at 0-2.
The Gamecocks (1-5) will now prepare for their game against Opp (Opp, AL). The Bobcats enter the 3A Area 3 game with a 9-0 record. In their last game, Opp gained a win over Kinston (Kinston, AL), 3-0, in a non-league game.
