In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Long Rebels volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the New Brockton Gamecocks.
The Rebels (7-0) will now prepare for their battle against Ariton (Ariton, AL). The Purple Cats come into the 2A Area 4 battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Ariton achieved victory over Samson (Samson, AL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Gamecocks clash with the Geneva County Bulldogs (Hartford, AL) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 11. New Brockton will attempt to advance on its 3-9 season record.
