Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Brandon Valley Lynx (Brandon, SD) and the visiting Douglas Patriots (Box Elder, SD), observed Brandon Valley's volleyball team top Douglas by a tally of 2-0.

The Lynx (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sturgis Brown (Sturgis, SD). The Scoopers enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Sturgis Brown beat Belle Fourche (Belle Fourche, SD), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Patriots meet the Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, August 31. Douglas will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Wildcats enter the contest with a 2-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Wolsey-Wessington (Wolsey, SD).
