Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Herons now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Charlton County for a non-league challenge on Monday, August 14. Brantley County will face a Indians squad coming off a 11-3 non-league loss to Camden County (Kingsland, GA). The Indians record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Wayne County falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets travel to Bacon County (Alma, GA) to face the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 10.
