The Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) volleyball overcame the visiting North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC), 3-0 in Thursday's non-league outing.
With the win, Alleghany upgrades its record to 6-2 on the year. The Trojans host North Stokes (Danbury, NC) to face the Vikings in a Northwest 1A outing on Tuesday, September 6. The Vikings go into the outing with a record of 4-4. North Stokes lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Starmount (Boonville, NC)
The Vikings now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they host West Wilkes for a Foothills 2A outing on Tuesday, September 6. North Wilkes will face a Blackhawks squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Blackhawks record now stands at 3-5.
