Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC), 3-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Trojans clash with the North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) in a Northwest 1A match, on Thursday, September 29. Alleghany will attempt to advance on its 12-3 season record. The Vikings come into the match with a 5-11 record after their 3-1 league loss to Starmount (Boonville, NC).

With the loss, North Wilkes drops to 9-8 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC) to clash with the Blackhawks in a Foothills 2A match on Thursday, September 29. The Blackhawks come into the match with a record of 3-11. West Wilkes lost 3-0 in their recent league match against Forbush (East Bend, NC)
