The Falls City Beavers held off the visiting McMullen County Cowboys volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Friday's non-league test.

The Beavers now have a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kenedy for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 12.

The Cowboys (13-5) will now prepare for their test against George West (George West, TX). The Longhorns enter the non-league test with a 11-6 record. In their last test, George West held off Aransas Pass (Aransas Pass, TX), 3-1, in a league test.
