Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Providence Day Chargers (Charlotte, NC), 3-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Covenant Day moves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC) to clash with the Mavericks in a non-league test on Thursday, September 12. The Mavericks come into the test with a record of 4-3. Marvin Ridge lost 3-2 in their recent non-league test against South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)

The Chargers now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Charlotte Country Day School for a NCISAA Charlotte test on Thursday, September 12. Providence Day will clash with a Buccaneers team coming off a 5-3 league win over Cannon (Concord, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 7-2.
