The Pope Greyhounds overwhelmed the visiting Sequoyah Chiefs softball squad by a count of 10-2 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Greyhounds meet the Woodstock Wolverines (Woodstock, GA) in a 5A Region 6 challenge, on Thursday, September 12. Pope will attempt to upgrade on its 13-3 season record. The Wolverines go into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 7-1 league loss to Lassiter (Marietta, GA).

The Chiefs (7-7) will now prepare for their challenge against River Ridge (Woodstock, GA). The Knights go into the non-league challenge with a 7-8 record. In their last challenge, River Ridge toppled Sprayberry (Marietta, GA), 4-0, in a league challenge.
