Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Giles improves its record to 2-4 on the season. The Spartans travel to Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA) to face the Bears in a non-league test on Thursday, September 11. The Bears go into the test with a record of 1-1.
The Mustangs now own a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Roanoke Catholic for a non-league test on Thursday, September 11. Eastern Montgomery will meet a Celtics team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Radford (Radford, VA). The Celtics record now stands at 1-5.
