Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) and the visiting North Iredell Raiders (Olin, NC), observed Hickory's volleyball squad notch a victory over North Iredell by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Hickory improves its record to 10-1 on the season. The Red Tornadoes travel to Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC) to encounter the Bears in a Western Foothills 4A/5A battle on Thursday, September 11. The Bears go into the battle with a record of 1-8. Bunker Hill lost 3-2 in their recent league battle against West Iredell (Statesville, NC)

The Raiders now own a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Statesville for a North Piedmont 6A/7A battle on Thursday, September 11. North Iredell will meet a Greyhounds team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 2-3.
