In Wednesday's league challenge, the host Newburyport Clippers volleyball squad scored a 3-1 win over the Pentucket Regional .

With the win, Newburyport improves its record to 3-1 on the season. The Clippers host Hamilton-Wenham Regional (South Hamilton, MA) to face the Generals in a Cape Ann test on Tuesday, September 16. The Generals go into the test with a record of 2-2.

The now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to North Reading for a Cape Ann challenge on Friday, September 12. Pentucket Regional will meet a Hornets team coming off a 3-0 league win over Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School (Hathorne, MA). The Hornets record now stands at 5-0.
