The Vernon Yellowjackets held off the host Cottondale Hornets volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Monday's non-league test.
The Yellowjackets now have a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bethlehem for a test on Thursday, September 14.
The Hornets (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Sneads (Sneads, FL). The Pirates enter the non-league test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Sneads was nudged by North Bay Haven Academy (Panama City, FL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
