The Vernon Yellowjackets volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Cottondale Hornets to 1 in the Yellowjackets non-league victory on Monday.
The Yellowjackets now have a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wewahitchka for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 19. Vernon will confront a Gators team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Freeport (Freeport, FL). The Gators record now stands at 1-2.
The Hornets (6-5) will now prepare for their game against Marianna (Marianna, FL). The Bulldogs enter the non-league game with a 1-8 record. In their last game, Marianna was nudged by Chipley (Chipley, FL), 2-0, in a non-league game.
