The crowd at Wednesday's league contest between the Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) and the visiting Mira Loma Matadors (Sacramento, CA), witnessed Wheatland's flag football squad topple Mira Loma by a tally of 21-0.

The Pirates (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Center (Antelope, CA). The Cougars enter the Pioneer Valley League contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Center was outscored by Colfax (Colfax, CA), 60-7, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Matadors confront the Rio Linda Knights (Rio Linda, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 13. Mira Loma will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Knights enter the contest with a 5-4 record after their 25-12 league win over Sutter (Sutter, CA).
