Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC) and the visiting Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC), observed West Johnston's volleyball team top Western Harnett by a count of 2-0.
The Wildcats (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against North Johnston (Kenly, NC). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, North Johnston notched a victory over West Craven (Vanceboro, NC), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
The Eagles now own a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Union Pines for a battle on Tuesday, September 16. Western Harnett will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 8-5.
