The Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes overwhelmed the host Oconee County Warriors softball team by a margin of 11-0 in Thursday's league outing.

The Purple Hurricanes now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Prince Avenue Christian for a non-league test on Monday, September 15. Monroe Area will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 8-0 league win over Franklin County (Carnesville, GA). The Wolverines record now stands at 15-1.

The Warriors (2-11) will now prepare for their test against North Oconee (Bogart, GA). The Titans come into the non-league outing with a 7-9 record. In their last outing, North Oconee was routed by Madison County (Danielsville, GA), 7-6, in a league outing.
